05 Jun Y1 P4C and Art day
Our school read the story of ‘Ish’ and we discussed the story as a class in a Philosophy for Children lesson. The story of ‘Ish’ is about learning to see that art doesn’t have to be perfect and is about trying to show what you can see. The children made ‘ish’ pictures of their own.
The children worked in small groups to think of questions about the story and as a whole class we chose and discussed one of their questions. Next, we created some art based on the story. We began by making a group line drawing to get warmed up and then we made watercolour paintings of objects in front of us.
