At Moreland, your child’s learning journey with us begins from six months old. In our Children's Centre we provide high quality wrap around care and education for children from 6 months to 3 years old. We provide engaging learning experiences alongside a nurturing environment that places the child at the centre of all we do.

In our baby and toddler rooms we develop children's cognitive, physical, creative, social and emotional skills through play opportunities that are sensitively supported by skilled, caring adults. Our youngest children benefit from all that Moreland has to offer including weekly music activities with our professional music teacher, forest school activities in our specialist forest school area, the Moreland Reading Passport and access to modern, well equipped indoor and outdoor play spaces. Our highly trained staff work closely with each family to ensure a smooth transition from nursery to home and vice versa including a home visit for every child.

The term after their third birthday children transition into Moreland Primary School nursery classes. All children who attend the 0-3 Children's Centre provision are guaranteed a place in the Nursery Class. We hope that children who attend nursery will apply for a place in the school Reception class and continue their education at Moreland. The ability to attend the same setting from 0-11 gives children a real sense of belonging and eases transitions between phases of education.
