Summer 1

Summer One!

Summer 1 term was all about pre history and finding out more from the past. The students were invited on a number of trips and worked hard in class learning about the stone age, bronze age and iron age!

History:

This term our topic has been 'Stone Age to Iron Age'. We have been learning all about prehistory. What life was like during the stone age and how they developed. This week we investigated Stonehenge and all the mysteries surrounding its building and uses.

Gardening

This term we have had the brilliant opportunity to do some gardening and cooking with The Country Trust. We prepared the planters and began planting some beans. We also had a go at some propagation. Have a look at how hard we have been working!

Concert at the Barbican Hall

This week we had the exciting opportunity to see the LSC orchestra perform and even play a part in one of their pieces. What an amazing day! The student loved listening to all the fantastic music and instruments. We then came back to school and talked about the show.

Maths and English:

In Maths and English the students have work incredibly hard to show off their skills. We created a graphic novel in English based on a stone age story!

In maths we have been looking at money, length, time and fractions which were all related real life!
