Forest Skills Final Week
This week we had lots to choose from, some of us created some more art as we enjoyed it so much last week. Some of us learnt how to tie useful knots for shelters and worked together to make a group shelter, while some of us used secateurs to cut willow to make some mini Viking boats. We also used the time to take notice and take photos of the biodiversity in our forest area as we want to enter a competition that could mean that we could design our area and work with experts to make our designs. This is our last session and we have enjoyed our Forest School sessions this term, we have learnt many Forest skills such as identifying living things, knots, shelters and had the opportunity to be creative using nature as our inspiration.
Next term we hope to have an extra session where we can learn how to be safe around the fire and cook a tasty treat.
