This week we played some games to keep warm and then we learnt how to use ropes and long poles safely to put up a shelter.

We learnt some knots, The Timber hitch, The Round turn and two half hitches and The Quick release tensioning knot to help us put up our ridge lines. 

We also found out how to use a mallet safely to put in the pegs to secure our shelters. 

We worked together as a team and had to do lots of problem solving.

Afterwards we warmed up with a hot chocolate.
