This week we visited the London Metropolitan Archives to learn about the history of bridges in London.

We looked at old maps of the River Thames and learnt how more bridges were build to accommodate the growing cities population.

The children created their own towers using straws and connectors and used their engineering knowledge about shapes to build the towers tall and strong.
