Last Session
This week we went to Kings Square to complete our Team Survival Shelter Challenge, this was linked to the book 'Holes' that we have been reading in English lessons.
We worked in our House teams to create a waterproof shelter.
We found out about how to create a shelter safely, we had to choose the location, look up, down and all around to check the area was safe. We had to use the ropes safely and learnt some useful knots, the Timber hitch, Round turn and two half hitches, the Reef knot and Clove hitch.
We all worked together as a team and were able to make our shelters waterproof. It was fun testing them, but luckily we all stayed dry.
We also completed out Forest School Review, where we wrote what we had learnt during sessions, what we had enjoyed and what we would like to do again if we had another session.
