Terrific Trees
We were lucky to get some Trees from the Woodland Trust and this session we became tree experts. We had two challenges to complete.
First we found out all about the trees that we were planting, we then created our own Tree Fact File that we can share with the rest of the school.
Then we had a go at planting the trees, we watched a video beforehand so we knew what to do and we worked in small groups to plant the trees.
The trees that we planted were: Silver birch, Wild cherry and Rowan.
We also planted some hedgerow bushes: Dog rose, Dogwood, Crab apple, Hazel and Hawthorn.
We will make sure that the rest of the school help to nurture and look after the trees so that they grow big and strong so that when we have left Moreland we will still be able to walk past and see the trees that we planted. This will be part of our legacy and a way to say Thank you for our time at Moreland.
